One of the Midwest’s most popular and highly regarded outdoor celebrations of the arts will tentatively* return to the Capitol Square from September 25-26, 2021, as MMoCA presents the 63rd annual Art Fair on the Square.
“With its mix of music, entertainment, and outdoor dining, as well as nearly 500 artists exhibiting paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewelry, handmade clothing and accessories, and fine craft, the fair draws nearly 200,000 visitors to Madison’s Capitol Square.
TENTATIVE 2021 ART FAIR SCHEDULE
Saturday, September 25, 2021 (9 am–6 pm)
Sunday, September 26, 2021 (10 am–5 pm)
*Typically taking place on the second full weekend in July, the Museum decided to delay the event this year out of an abundance of caution. MMoCA’s decision to move forward with the 2021 Art Fair comes with an important caveat; the exact size and scope of the event depends on public health conditions this fall, based on recommendations and guidelines from the CDC and public health officials in the Midwest and Dane County.
Due to the large number of people expected at Art Fair on the Square, the Museum recommends visitors wear masks and maintain social distancing. Additionally, more handwashing and sanitizing stations will be in place.”
